陶芸2026

今年に入ってから皆で少しずつ作りためた器を焼きました。

自分の作った器で食べたり飲んだりすることで、世の中にある器に注意が向くようになり、それまで見えていなかったことに目が開かれていくのではないでしょうか。自分で実践することでしか見えないことはたくさんある。

デザインコース小冊子

今年から新しい試みとして、デザインコースの１年間のトピックをまとめた小冊子を作成しています。

紙媒体で配っていますが、入手できないこともあると思いますので、意匠形態学研究室の部分のみ抜き出してシェアします。

今年は後期から留学する学生が1人いたため、7月に1人だけの卒業研究発表を行いました。研究テーマは、『社会とほどよい距離を保つ空間の提案（窓のフレーミング効果による都市空間における余白の創出）』として、学内に約10㎡の小空間を設置し、体験型の展示を行いました。

5月から6月には、アメリカのシンシナティ大学との共同授業の優秀作品を六本木のDesign HUB「ゼミ展」に展示しました。

また、意匠形態学研究室では、毎年11月の大学祭に合わせて「意匠形態展」を行っています。ここでは、修士研究や卒業研究の途中経過を発表し、来場者からフィードバックをいただきながら、研究を深め、最終制作に向けて作品を洗練させていきます。今年は、２号棟6階のアトリエを真っ暗にして５点の作品展示を行いました。４年生の作品は、それぞれ「不確かな記憶」や「他者への想像力」、「光学と人間の知覚」などをテーマとしており、人の内面や、日常の見落としてしまいそうな些細なことを掘り下げることで、誰もが共感できる作品へ昇華できたと思います。

学生たちの作品を見ていると、社会問題や、社会システムなどをテーマとした大きなものがたりではなく、どこにでもいる個人の小さなものがたりに魅力を感じていることが見て取れますが、それは、「社会性がない」のではなく、「社会性」の意味が変化してきているのかもしれないと感じます。

This year, one student departed to study abroad in the second semester, and therefore a single graduation research presentation was held in July. The research theme, titled “A Proposal for a Space that Maintains an Appropriate Distance from Society: Creating Margins in Urban Space through the Framing Effect of Windows,” involved the installation of an

approximately 10m2 experimental space on campus, presented as an experiential exhibition.

From May to June, selected outstanding works from a collaborative course with the University of Cincinnati were exhibited at the “Zemi Exhibition” held at Design Hub in Roppongi.

In addition, the Design Morphology Laboratory holds the annual “Isho Keitai Exhibition” in conjunction with the university festival each November. At this exhibition, students present interim results of their master’s and undergraduate graduation research, receiving feedback from visitors while further refining their studies toward the final production stage. This year, five works were displayed in a completely darkened atelier space on the sixth floor of Building No.2. The fourth-year students’ projects addressed themes such as “uncertain memory,” “imagination toward others,” and “optics and human perception.” By delving into the inner dimensions of human experience and the subtle, often overlooked aspects of everyday life, the works were elevated into expressions that invite broad empathy.

Observing the students’ works, one can discern a shift away from grand narratives centered on social issues or systemic structures, toward the intimate and personal stories of individuals who could be found anywhere. This tendency does not suggest an absence of social awareness; rather, it may indicate that the very meaning of “sociality” itself is undergoing transformation.
